Wreck This Journal 2 - Page 16 to 20

Sixteen. Draw Lines While in Motion.

So for this page, I carried on the footprint theme around the edge then drew small 'icons' in each corner for the different modes of transport; walking, bus, car and train. I did the walking whilst walking around my neighbourhood and got some very strange looks!

Seventeen. Fill this Page with Circles.

For this page, I bought about 6 packets of different sized googly eyes and then stuck them down with tombow glue until I had completely covered the page! On the left hand side is a cross over between Harry Potter and Mean Girls.

UPDATE 5th April 2015:
So I had to remove all the googly eyes from this page because I couldn't turn the page over and when I did, the eyes came off the page (probably due to the adhesive I used) It's now a circle background paper with some eyes stuck on. I'm disappointed that I had to change it because I loved this page.

Eighteen. Document Your Dinner.

So for this page, I decorated the left hand side with some decopatch paper and a frame holding different foods that I like. On the right hand side, I covered what I could with starburst wrappers (again, in the flavours I like, but that's not done yet) and then placed a die cut frame and piece of paper on top where I recorded my dinner for the week like a diary. I did it this way because I was really grossed out by the prospect of splattering food onto my page. I'm not sure if I will do that and then cover it with sticky back plastic or not but for now, this page is finished apart from those last wrappers.

Nineteen. Chew On This.

My inspiration from this page came from the Pacman game. I drew out a 'course' (which is really bad because I made the top half too big so had to squeeze in the bottom half) and then coloured in Pacman and each of the ghosts. I still need to do something on the left hand page.

Twenty. Make a Paper Aeroplane.

I decorated my plane, stuck it on the left hand page of the 'chew on this' page and then drew some clouds and wrote a quote.

Wreck This Journal 2 - Page 11 to 15

Eleven. Scratch Using a Sharp Object

For this page I used some scissors to scratch out the Deathly Hallows symbol. Then on the left hand page, I drew footprints from Harry Potter, with some of the marauders footprints too. I then went back in and added more footprints to the left hand page and then some white ones on the right hand page.

Twelve. Do Some Rubbings With a Pencil

This page took me back to my childhood. I used lots of different coins and rubbed over them with different colour crayons. I didn't know what to cover the previous page with so just stuck some funny images throughout the journal. This one is a mash up of FRIENDS and Harry Potter.

Thirteen. Scribble Wildly With Reckless Abandon

This page is probably one of my least favourites, purely because I put no effort into it at all. I just scribbled with green biro and blue biro in stripes. On the left hand side of the page, I drew 'Doodlebob' from Spongebob.

Fourteen. Tear Strips, Rip It Up

Again, this might be a favourite page of mine, I wrote a word on each of the strips like a 'Take what you need' thing so there's Luck, Strength, Faith, Confidence, Hope, Adventure, Love and Courage. I then coloured them in and used 2 different shades of that same colour to draw circles and dots on the strips. More images on the left page, this time from one of my favourite TV Sitcoms, Miranda.

Fifteen. Glue, Staple or Tape These Pages Together

For this page, I glued the top and sides of the Tear Strips page onto this page and then drew 'bubbles' round the instructions in the same colours to match them together.

Six. Draw Fat Lines and Thin

So for this page, I just drew lines that were fat and thin and then coloured them in orange, pink and blue.

Seven. This Page is For Handprints or Fingerprints

For this page, I painted my left hand in blue acrylic paint and my right in red acrylic paint and then pressed them down firmly. I didn't realise until after I'd done the page that I had coloured the words in blue and red as well.

Eight. Colour This Entire Page

This might be my favourite page and it took so long to do! I got some tiny graph paper and drew Tetris shapes onto there with a fineliner 0.3 tip black pen. I then took my promarkers, coloured in each 'Tetris' piece in a different colour depending on what shape it was. I then cut each piece out and placed it on the page to look like a game of Tetris. I like this page because it's so colourful.

UPDATE 2nd May 2015:
I wasn't quite happy with the way this page looked and I wanted to cover the left hand side too so I re-did the pages and ended up with this, which I think looks much cooler!

Nine. Throw Something.

On the left hand side of this page, I wrote a quote from The Hunger Games and drew some arrows. I then used bouncy balls dipped in paint and my brother and I had fun bouncing them onto the pages to create splatters. I've posted a video from my snapchat of how we made the splatters. We had lots of fun throwing the bouncy balls around trying to hit the page. I think we successfully covered most of the grass too!

Ten. Press Leaves and Other Found Things.

This page started off with me drawing a tree which I was planning on gluing leaves to. I then planned to get blades of grass and daisies/buttercups and gluing them onto the bottom of the page. On the left hand page, I've put an image from some of my other favourite YouTubers 'Lets Play' or 'Achievement Hunter' from them playing Minecraft. I actually don't like the game Minecraft but I love watching them play it because they're hilarious! I've started placing leaves on the right hand page but I need to finish off the page.

Wreck This Journal 2 - Page 1 to 5

A few years ago, I got the 'Wreck This Journal' by Keri Smith for Christmas. I then bought myself another one which had a couple of extra things to do so I thought I would make a blog post about them :) This time I think I'll do 5 pages per post :)

Wreck This Journal #2

This is the new version of the journal I have. Instead of the plain black cover, it has a duct tape version and there are more things to do in the journal such as hiding a page in your neighbours garden which should be challenging!

UPDATE 20th August 2015:
So after a while as the journal began to fall apart, I covered it in 'Where's Wally?' wrapping paper and then some sticky back plastic to protect it. It looks so cool now and my brother likes picking it up to try and find Wally.

The first page as you open it. I chose to decorate it with a promarker burst and then just some bubbles with staedtler fineliners in different colours.

UPDATE 15th July 2015:
So I added a polaroid frame and some patterned paper where I wrote the dates I started and finished the journal. (Well, when I do finally finish it!) I started this journal on the 2nd October 2012 and it's currently the 15th July 2015 so it's been almost 3 years and I'm nowhere near done!!

Name Page. I've blanked out my last name, my address and phone number but I'm semi-pleased with this page. I prefer the one with my name in large letters on the left hand side. I made these with my Lawn Fawn Die Cut Letters and cut them out of black card using my Big Shot machine with some stick it adhesive on the back of them so I could stick them to the page. I like that my first name, Rebecca is the same amount of letters as my last name (7 which incidentally is my favourite number) and my middle name Ellen is the same amount of letters as my nickname Becky. I'm a haiku but the other way round!

UPDATE:
I added some colour to this page by going round the instructions arrow with tons of different coloured felt pens.

One. Add Your Own Page Numbers.

For this page, I divided the background roughly into a 'Snakes and Ladders' game, numbered each square and drew a few snakes and ladders over like the game. I coloured everything in with promarkers, went around the black parts with silver sharpie and then used glossy accents on the arrow. I then coloured round the materials and ticked off the ones I'd used.

Two. Crack the Spine & Leave This Page Blank On Purpose

This page is pretty boring at the moment, it's probably one that I'll update later on with some colour, especially as the crack the spine page gets lost with the bleed from the promarkers on the number page.

UPDATE 19th August 2015:
I really didn't like leaving the page blank so I doodled on it with my white uni-ball signo broad gel pen. I really like how this one looks now, even if I haven't followed the instructions!

Three. Stand here (Wipe Your Feet, Jump Up and Down)

So I started this page with no idea how I wanted to do it. I drew round my feet on the page, then outlined them in black sharpie. I then spent ages flicking to the page and leaving it because I couldn't think of anything for it. I was watching Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares and for some reason started colouring one foot with my Staedtler fine line pens. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Four. Pour, Spill, Drip, Spit, Fling Your Coffee Here

I started this page by drawing a mug with the word 'bazinga' on from The Big Bang Theory and then whilst making a cup of coffee for my parents, I dripped the spoon with some coffee onto the page. I used the spoon because I didn't want to get too much coffee on the page and drown it but I wanted to get enough that it looked like coffee. On the left hand page, I coloured in the background with some pens and then put a picture of a YouTuber called Wheezy Waiter who has the phrase 'I love it when the coffee's done'. I used the same letter technique as with my name and placed that around his picture.

Five. Poke Holes In This Page Using A Pencil

I'm not sure how I feel about this page. I tried to make it like I was popping the balloons with the pencil but none of the balloons look popped.
